Saturday, January 12, 2008 - The Pigg River Community Center was the place to be to enjoy an evening of Praise and Worship. Gospel music was presented to a crowd of approximately 100 people as part of The Crooked Road music series.
L R C Chorus got the evening rolling with their uplifting style and charismatic vocals. They were followed by The Anointed who kept the Spirit moving. The crowd was brought to its feet multiple times by their repetitive and reaffirming style of Gospel.
An offering was taken to help pay off the building fund and The Anointed took the stage again to begin winding down the music and singing portion of the evening.
Reverend Whitfield closed out the evening with a message highlighting the blessings that all have received. He also asked visitors to take back to their own churches the message of the good things that are being done at the Pigg River Community Center.
Refreshments were available, as they are each time this event is held, to help to raise additional funds for the building fund.
